TĕkProtect has a feature that most of our clients have been unaware of. But it’s very useful for getting last minute requests or complaints to your remote technician.

1)  IMPORTANT!
The first step is to get connected if you haven’t already done so.

2) Once you have connected, locate the TĕkProtect icon in your System Tray. This is the tray of small icons next to your clock in the lower-right of your screen. The icon you’re searching for looks like this: TĕkProtect icon:
If the icon is not visible in the System Tray, click on the upward facing caret character on the left edge of the System Tray.
3) Regardless of where you find the TĕkProtect icon you will need to right-click on it to open the menu.
4) When you right-click on the icon a menu will appear. Click on ‘Open’ and the Sidebar will show up on the right-hand side of your screen.
5) Once the Sidebar shows on your screen you can type your message and hit the Send button.

That’s all there is to it! You may not receive a response immediately but your message will be logged into the system and your tech will see it before starting work on your machine.
